Soccer Activities Update – COVID-19

March 14, 2020
Re. Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Recent news about the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) has raised concerns for many of us for the wellbeing of people across the world and potentially in our communities, neighbourhoods, and workplaces.
At this time, the risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus remains low. School closures and event cancellations have been made as precautions to avoid the possible spread of the virus.
To reduce the risks the Brockville Soccer Club is suspending all activity until April 6, 2020 at which time the Club will reassess.
At this time parents and children should exercise caution and self-regulated preventative measures to reduce risk of exposure to the virus. The following recommendations are provided in association with the EOHU.
• Wash your hands often, cough/ sneeze into your sleeve or a tissue.
• Keep surfaces clean and if you are feeling unwell, stay home and work from home to prevent the infection of others.
• Avoid unnecessary travel.
• If possible, pay for your taxes via cheque, bank transfer or pre-authorized payment to reduce exposure in public places.
We thank you for your understanding and we will continue to update our social media page as more information is available.
